HELP orinoco_usb broken while traveling

Help please.

I'm on a trip, and I made the stupid mistake of upgrading my Ubuntu 6
machine. I have a Compaq Wireless Lan W200 wireless adapter, which I had
made work using the instructions at:

I re downloaded the sources, and now when I try to install the recompiled
driver I get the following:

root at brown2:~/usb/firmware# modprobe -v orinoco_usb
FATAL: Error inserting orinoco_usb
Unknown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

root at brown2:~/usb/firmware# uname -a
Linux brown2 2.6.15-26-386 #1 PREEMPT Fri Sep 8 19:55:17 UTC 2006 i686
Can some kind soulhelp me out? I have wired conectivity through tonight,
but can't predict what I will have after that, and wireless iffar
