Firefox 1.5.0.5 freezes for several seconds

Hi,

I have firefox 1.5.0.5 installed. The installed extensions are fasterfox, 
Noscript, downthemall, tab mix plus, flashgot, mid, adblock plus, dutchblock 
and adblock filterset G. updater.

Since a week now, firefox reguraly freezes for several seconds (e.g. at each 
desktop switch). What is wrong with the current version???
