Has Ubuntu Replaced Windows on Your Box?

Hi,
How can we run Microsoft Word XP from Ubuntu Dapper. I tried using "wine". But it gives me an error saying that the "install the application before running". I have heard of Crossover office but it is not available free. Is there any configuration that is required for wine to be able to run  MS Word?

I have installed the application "wine" using Synaptic. Do I need to install any other lib file or application along with wine?
