Ηι,

At a similar situation I had to add bttv into the

/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist
(or /etc/hotplug/blacklist)

in order to avoid automatic loading of the module before /etc/modules
is parsed. This way I managed to load the module with the options
given in /etc/modules on boot.
