kernel update/nvidia breakage/SMP issues

Solved! Thanks to the update that was just pushed ahead, we are back
in SMP with nvidia driver :)
Ubuntu Security Notice USN-346-2: http://www.ubuntu.com/usn/usn-346-2
"USN-346-1 provided an updated Linux kernel to fix several security
vulnerabilities. Unfortunately the update broke the binary 'nvidia'
driver from linux-restricted-modules. This update corrects this
problem. We apologize for the inconvenience."

I don't think nv has dual head support (yeah I know, dual head _and_
dual core, sheesh :), but that is academic, since it has been solved.
