VMware file movement - how?

Actually, sharing virtual images is an OS function (the folder has to be shared out to the network) and you can "clone" shared virtual images so that the original or source virtual machine image is unchanged.  Once the folder is "shared out," depending what version of vmware you are using, you can run shared images anywhere.  You can also "remote manage" or connect to a VM server and run images but that is not sharing.
