Shared storage for users using LDAP

Hi All,

At this moment i'm considering to setup some kind of userfriendly online
storage. The general idea is that it will use our LDAP server for
authentication, and the application will need to be webbased (https)

The idea is that our teachers can share about 200gb of documents,
video's etc.

Any thougts on what could be my best approach? I'm pretty keen on php,
so doing ldap and sftp with php is no problem really but i was just
wondering if anyone has setup something like this before and is willing
to share their experiences.
