If you are using xubuntu, you need to open Settin|Window Manager
Settings | Advanced and check the box that says wrap workspaces when
pointer gets to edge of screen.
I'm posting this because it took me awhile to find it.
I like this feature particularly when giving presentations. I can
drive my mouse off the slideshow into the next work area to show my
class something else and then return to the lecture slides.
