Ooooh, if you still want to use your Win Partition, don't do that!!!

On double boot machines I always circumvent that problem with this
(simplified) partition scheme:

1 NTFS: for windows system 
2 FAT32: for data (read/write access from windows AND linux)
3 EXT3: for linux
...
