Mono and Monodevelop

Does anyone know if there are any ubuntu repositories out there that 
have more up to date versions of mono, monodevelop, etc?  Mono 
development is moving pretty fast and I would like to stay current. 
Though I was hoping not to have to do a bunch of compiling.  I left 
Gentoo because I too much compiling.
