Interesting, where was it? I'm in Debian at the moment and it is
definitely in /etc; I'll have to boot into Ubuntu to check.
Well it could be the router isn't resolving the addresses; I would check
the DNS settings in the router itself but for good measure you could
also add your ISP's DNS server IP addresses to /etc/resolv.conf
On my laptop I've got the ISP's DNS servers only
clive at Darius:~$ cat /etc/resolv.conf
search
nameserver 212.159.13.49
nameserver 212.159.13.50
