yep, that would also be useful, but it isnt installed..

can you find your printf.3 man file and do dpkg -S on it, and tell me
which package it came from please?

Kubuntu does not install it by default:

$ man 3 printf
No manual entry for printf in section 3
See 'man 7 undocumented' for help when manual pages are not available.
