No. Gradually, the assigned space will be used. In the beginning,
the assigned space is unused, as no changes need to be noted. The
assigned space is used to store the changed "blocks" from the
original LV.

lvdisplay shows how much space is used. Compare the output of
a snapshot lv and a normal lv.
