HP Printer Problem

What do you mean by you can't set it up via CUPS. If you are referring
to the endless user password loop at the end of the setup
open a terminal window
   sudo adduser cupsys shadow
   sudo /etc/init.d/cupsys restart
After this cups will let you add the printer via the web interface. If
it is some other problem if you post a description I might be able to
help. I spent a week getting cups working the way I wanted and came
close to switching printing dameons before I solved all my issues.
