Upgrade To Edgy by moving the packages from laptop to pc

I did an upgrade to edgy on my laptop and I don't want to download
everything again so I followed the wiki

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AptMoveHowto/simple

to move edgy from laptop to pc; however, I ended up with about 1.3GB
which is more than what a cd can take. I, then, copied the upgraded
files to my USB.

Is there away to upgrade to Edgy through a USB drive if not what
should I do to, may be, split the files into two cds.
