Actually if you search the forums the proper way to upgrade to edgy is by
performing a apt-get dist-upgrade which will update a lot of packages and
it will require a second apt-get dist-upgrade to complete the upgrade.

Subject: nautilus crashes after edgy apt-get upgrade

Hi all,

I just used apt-get to upgrade from dapper to edgy. I've rebooted and
everything appears to have gone well, except that nautilus now crashes
when I log in.

(According to aptitude, v 2.16.1-0ubuntu3 of nautilus now installed)

Thinking it may have been a conflicting setting in my home dir, I
deleted .gconf/apps/nautilus but that doesn't help.

At this point, I am reluctant to (semi-randomly) try deleting other
gnome config. files.

Anyone have a suggestion?
