vmware problem

I've had issues with the CD-ROM not booting and what I had to do was specify
the actual device in the virtual machine settings versus the default of auto
detect, I specified /dev/cdrom and worked after that. Vmware tools can be
installed in your guest OS after it is powered up and can be selected from
the vm menu->install vmware tools. The guest OS will need to be running.
