fetchmail/postfix/courier - getting mail problem - troubleshooting

I have finally got everything installed but Im testing for connection
issues and I have some.
Im looking in the syslog file and it states:

Oct 25 15:50:45 wadesmart postfix[18333]: couldn't find canonical DNS
name of pop.mail.yahoo.com (pop.yahoo.com)
Oct 25 15:50:45 wadesmart postfix[18333]: Unknown login or
authentication error on wadesmart at gmail.com@gmail-pop.l.google.com
Oct 25 15:50:45 wadesmart postfix[18333]: socket error while fetching
from wadesmart at gmail.com@pop.gmail.com

and apparently there are some more problems with the ssl:

Oct 25 15:50:45 wadesmart postfix/smtpd[17995]: warning: cannot get
private key from file /etc/postfix/ssl/smtpd.key

and it goes on from there.
