Yes! The aliases file will have the alias and the user or users who 
should get the email. For example you might have support at acme.com going 
to you. You could also add more then one user to the alias. That way 
more then one person gets mail for support at acme.com.

Your example would look like this.

    #Alias                  #User
    jojo:                       wadesmart


There are default aliases that should go in the aliases file but your 
mail will work with out them.

    root:         #who should get roots mail
    postmaster      # person managing the mail server
