I have no dual display systems, so have no personal experience with or
ability to test this. However, I believe this is a problem with no easy
current solution, and and "easy" solution would require an upstream fix.
IOW, you'll need to look for an existing bugzilla.mozilla.org bug, and if
you don't find one, open one, because I think FF simply has not been
designed to do what you want.
If you absolutely have to have FF open on both displays at the same time
using the "same" settings, you'll need to clone your profile to a second
profile, modify the second profile's prefs.js file to point to the correct
directory, and open FF on the other display using the second profile after
exporting MOZ_NO_REMOTE=1. If you are using FF2, instead of MOZ_NO_REMOTE
you can use the command line switch -no-remote.
For any more explanation, you'll probably need to visit the mozilla
newsgroups, irc://moznet/firefox or mozillazine and pose your problem there.
Possibly if you start with ubuntu-devel the ubuntu developers might be able
to assist or provide upstream with a solution.
