HT Kernel

Hi there,

HT allows for to processors to be carved out of a single physical 
processor on the motherboard.  Is there a special ubuntu kernel that 
needs to be installed for these capabilities to happen?

Current kernel is
2.6.15-27-386 #1 PREEMPT


Might somebody send instructions to get a kernel in place with Symmetric 
Multiprocessing support please?
