Hi Michal.
I currently have a local repository as our intranet server uses Ubuntu &
I have a few desktops too.
The tool you are looking for is 'debmirror'.
The command I use is:
debmirror --nosource -m --passive --host=gb.archive.ubuntu.com
--root=ubuntu/ --method=ftp --progress
--dist=dapper,dapper-updates,dapper-security
--section=main,multiverse,universe,restricted --arch=i386 --popstcleanup
--ignore-realease-gpg -v /path/to/storage/location/
I mirror, dapper, dapper-updates & dapper-security, sections main,
universe, multiverse and restricted. Are just the i386 architecture.
All you need to do now is to configure your client machines to access
this repository. I have setup an ftp server on the repo for this
purpose.
thanks,
Jamie

Subject: local repository
Hi,
I would like to setup local repository - need to instal Ubuntu to some
computers with limied network connection.
So my idea was:
- download deb packages (main, universe, multiverse) for i386 (do not
need other architectures)
- create repository on notebook so this notebook will be a mirror.
Problem is that I do not how and from where to download those packages.
The only what i have found is http://www.ubuntu.com/download/mirror
But i do not need to all 170 GB as I will not be installing nothing
other than 386.
Any idea how to do that?
