Yes.  When the installer reboots your machine the first time, get into
the GRUB boot menu and bring the system up in single user mode.
Delete the contents of edit /etc/fstab to mount your metadevice on
/home and delete the contents of /home (since you're going to mount
something over it anyway).  Then reboot and let the system come up
normally.
