Network card

I can successfully download and burn an ISO to CD, then boot to the CD and  
run Ubuntu 6.06.x or install it to a partition on my hard drive. The  
problem I have is that my AOpen ALN325C network card does not recognise,  
therefore I cannot put Ubuntu on the Web from my system. THe existing  
Win98SE system recognises the card. What driver do I need and what do I  
have to do to install and compile so I can run Ubuntu as a Web-enabled  
upgrade to Windows?
