Maybe it's still too big or the email you removed wasn't the cause of the
problem.  It might be useful to split the file into individual messages with

csplit -z -n 4 Inbox '/^From /' '{*}'

Remove any message files you don't want/need (grep for Subject: or Date:) and
cat the rest together again.
