Hi,
I did not install it, since I do not have MS-Word 2002, but from my
experience, in any case, make sure that you have a running ie6 before even
trying to install word. ie6 will provide fonts, dlls and the help system
that word will desperately need.
Personally, I found ies4linux to be the easiest for ie installs.

Furthermore, it could be a good idea to upgrade to the recent wine version.
