trouble with firefox livebookmarks in edgy

in edgy, firefox 1.99+2.0rc2+dfsg-0ubuntu1 , I can't add live bookmarks
at sites with rss feeds. I can click on feeds, and get the "add this
feed with" dialog, but the bookmark isn't generated and I can't access
it anywhere. Old rss feeds imported from firefox 1.5 still work fine,
the problem seems to be solely with the generation of the bookmark.

any ideas what'swrong?  Is this potentially a bug?
