Adding RAM

You do not need to reinstall your OS when U add RAM.  Have U made any
changes to your system of late?  Ensure that all of the 1GB are detected
by your system. 

Do the memory test that comes with Ubuntu too.  Hit esc before the
system starts booting.  You'll see a couple of options - Select the
memory test.
