Edgy - automount hard disks

Hi

I've got an AMD64 system running Edgy beta and I just put a FAT32 formatted
IDE hard drive in it.

I expected the drive to be automatically recognised and mounted when I
re-started, but it wasn't, and I had to mount it manually using

sudo mount -t vfat /dev/hda1 /media/newdisk

Either the drive should have mounted automatically, and this is a bug or I'm
expecting too much and this is normal behaviour. Anyone know which it is?
