Mac G5 support

Hello; I have combed the wiki to find what Macs
are supported and I don't see G5 specifically
Does that mean it is not supported? I am looking
for alternative to Yellow Dog.
I also look closely through the list of  mailing lists
and this list seemed to be the only one that this
question was suited for, even though it wasn't for
general discussions and I am not a user, yet.
