Suggestion for the next version of Ubuntu

I do not know whether Ubuntu already has this feature or not.

I suggest a filter for nautilus.
When this filter is enabled for a specific file type, nautilus will 
display files of the specified type only.

For example, say there's a folder having lot of files of different 
types. And the user wants only to display JPEG type pictures.
So he will enable the filter for jpeg from the menu, and nautilus will 
display JPEG files only.

I think this feature may useful when dealing with folders having lot of 
files.

Please let me know whether Ubuntu already has this feature or not,
and
if not please tell me whether this suggestion is good or not.
