No installable kernel found

Replacing motherboard and CPU fixed it. Now I'm looking for the apt-get option to verify all packages are properly installed, since I didn't figure it out until after getting a good install by cloning a similar machine's /
partition, then doing an apt-get update and apt-get upgrade.
