Xubuntu - Firefox - https / no websites ?

That would be extremely unlikely, considering epiphany relies on the 
browser that shall not be called Firefox for many purposes. A better 
test would be to try Mozilla or ELinks.

When I had this problem, Epiphany also has the problem, but no other 
browser did.
