Xubuntu - Firefox - https / no websites ?

Here one, just installed a fresh distro of xubuntu 6.10 edgy,
all is well except for: Firefox, it will not let me visit any https ( 
websites) :-(

Very odd: was using 1.5.x which had no-problem, now I using 2.0x beta

I know its firefox, not xubuntu, anyone ?
