RAID - Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks. Using multiple hard drives
to allow greater storage space, and/or to allow recovery of data on one
of the drives by rebuilding it from the data on the other drives. On
the typical home computer, you're only going to have the one hard drive.
You can use RAID to write the same data to 2 drives, so if one crashes,
the other drive is current. Look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RAID
for a better explanation.
