Mount icon changing

Hi everyone

I have a 4in1 Sandisk Memory Card Reader (SD, CF, SM and MS). On
Windows, this showed up as 4 seperate drives (CF was F, SD was G, SM
was H, and MS was I). On ubuntu, when I plug a card in, it automounts
and appears on the desktop. Have noticed that you can change the icon
to an image of the relavent card. I did this. What I thought would
happen is that when I insert an SD card, I would get the SD icon, and
so on. However, what actually happens is that I get the icon I set for
that number card (If that makes sense). In other words, the first card
I added an icon to was SD, the second was CF. The correct icons
appear, if the cards are inserted in that order (SD, then CF). If
however, I only insert the CF card, it gets the icon of the SD card,
as that was the first usbdisk mounted when I assigned the icon.

What I want to know is, is there a way to make the CF icon always come
up if I insert a CF card, an SD icon to come up if I insert an SD,
etc.?

Yesterday it worked.
Today it is not working.
Windows is like that.
