Why does it *need* to be the same software on Windows and Linux?
Ekiga is perfectly capable of using SIP, all you need is anther SIP
client and it should work the same, should even be able to use your
ekiga ID on a non-ekiga program.

And there is a Windows version, don't think its stable yet though.

Wow they fixed it! Anyone else remember when the idiots at skype
decided to do absolutely no testing before a release and as a result
skype wouldn't install as it depended on a non-existent library. (I
would have thought testing the produced files installed would be the
first thing they did, shows what Skype think of Linux)
