Web - yes. Configure Apache like it's on nfs, but use GFS.
Database - yes, kind of. Partition your app to do writes to one server,
do reads from replicated slaves.
Storage cluster - don't know what you mean. If you mean nfs, then yes,
probably best to put it on top of GFS.
