Yes, thanks, that helps. I've downloaded, read readme.txt, and read
http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/#install
three times. Perhaps I'm uniquely GUI illiterate, but I'm struggling to
find one word about how to install this stuff.

It must be that it's intuitive, and I'm an engineer.
Maybe it'll look less inscrutable after a (very) strong coffee.
