Hi linuxers,

issuing the printenv command shows some variables and their value or
simple echo $SHELL shows the path to my shell that i am using or that
is loaded at startup

my question is that where is that file or script that has these things
hardcoded and are read at system startup ?

Linux *is* user friendly. It's just selective about who its friends are.
In a world without walls and fences, who needs windows and Gates ?
