On one of the many boxes here in my home office I have a desktop
Ubuntu installed as OEM from the alternate installs CD. It comes
up in text display mode until it's done, then startsx. I want all
my machines (laptop included) to come up in that manner. I guess
I'll go look at it's /boot/grub/menu.lst to see if anything leaps
out at me.
