xfce-4-weather-plugin - How does this work?

It seems to be only availbale to the xfce4 desktop. If you right click on
the panel to add things. It should now be in the list of things you can
add to your panel. I tried to use it in gnome because it is a really nice
weather app which can get my local weather station rather than the closest
gnome-weather (or whatever it's called) which is sydney. If anyone knows
how to get an xfrce4 panel app to work in gnome I'd be very happy.
