Ubuntu has corrupted my file !

ext3 does as well. I've had it happen several times. You should reboot
more often. ;-)

You're "on your own" in Ubuntu should you choose something other than
ext3 (the default).

And besides, re (Paul) ReiserFS, have you read the news lately? ;-)
