resetting network-manager's list of networks?

Hi,

I'm using network manager on edgy and quite like it, but when I change
environments it sseems to be awfully slow to realize that hte networks
around it have changed.  it seems like it takes 10 minutes or so to
rescan the environment.  Is there any way to get it to rescan more
rapidly?
