wifi card DWL-610 freeze system

Hi. I own a DWL-610 wifi card. On dapper i doscover that with the i686
kernel it freeze the notebook. If i load a standard i386 kernel the
notebook work fine.
As i switch to edgy, trouble become higher... The card freeze the
notebbok. The only way to get it back is restart. 
I'm not able to find anything useful on logs (suggestion ?) and i can't
find the i386 kernel for edgy. 
Can anyone help me ?
