Ubuntu has corrupted my file !

Here are more information :

Im using the 6.06 LTS since its release. A fresh install at this time,
from a CD. This is the first problem since OOo version :
20.2-2ubuntu12.1

I always keep ubuntu up-to-date. Never had to face any crash with any
application as fare as I remember.
