edgy (6.10) uses 2.6.17-x this version wont change in edgy only the
revision number for security/bug fixes, looks like fiesty(7.04) will
be based on the 2.6.19 kernel which is due for release in april 07 and
probably at a fairly usable state in feb, either that or you could
compile your own kernel from vanilla source but im sure there will be
other dependencies that have to be met and make it that bit more
difficult and it wont be supported as such.
