Edgy boot errors

I am trying to a fresh install of Edgy on a machine that is currently
running 6.06 with no problems. When I boot from the CD, I receive the
following errors several times over:

hdc: ide_intr: huh? expected NULL handler on exit
Buffer I/O error on device HDC, logical block 178790

I've received these errors in the past, and thought maybe it was a bad CD,
but this is on an entirely new one. I can boot from the 6.06 install CD with
no errors whatsoever.
