eclipse on edgy

Hi,

I had the same problem a few days ago, so I did a search in launchpad. I
found these two bugs:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/eclipse/+bug/68053 and
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/eclipse/+bug/68380 (The
crash-report in the first bug-report is very similar to yours).
There are two patches in the upstream branch that haven't been merged with
the ubuntu-package, which causes eclips to crash on an amd64-bit system.

the first bugreport explains how to get a "stable" eclipse running, but it's
just a workaround. The bug is not yet fixed. Let's hope the devs fix it
soon.
