streaming audio problem (maybe?)

For the past three years I've been using amarok to listen to a streaming ogg 
broadcast.  About the time I upgraded to 1.4.3, I started having connection 
problems.  Sometimes I get an error that I don't have the correct plugin, 
sometimes, I get an error about a network connection problem, and sometimes 
it connects and immediately disconnect,

Any ideas whether this is a version problem?  Could my admin be blocking the 
source?
